Roaring Lion - Play Centers in Emergency Routine

The "Lion’s Roar" war is still here. It’s in the news, it’s in our hearts, and most of all, it’s in the uncertainty of the horizon.
No one knows when this will end, but we do know one thing: we aren’t waiting for the smoke to clear before we take action.

Et La'asot is now moving into what we call an "Emergency Routine." It sounds like a contradiction in terms, but that is the essence of the Israeli story - to build and be built even within the storm.

The Power of Flexibility

When reality changes, we change with it. This means moving to alternative spaces and finding creative solutions to keep our activities running, especially now. For example:

  • Our Beit Shemesh branch, located in a bomb shelter, is currently serving as a sanctuary and home for the city’s population.

  • At the same time, the Meirhoff Community Center in Beit Shemesh has opened its doors to us and hosting our activities. This is our opportunity to simply say: Thank you.

The Heart Doesn't Go on

Our amazing staff and volunteers haven't stopped for a second. They are adapting every activity to this new reality - splitting participants and volunteers into smaller, safer groups, finding the most protected spaces, and keeping the flame alive.

At the end of the day, beyond the logistics and the protocols, there is one thing no missile can touch: the human connection. We are here to embrace our community of families with special needs, to maintain a constant dialogue, and to ensure that no one stands alone on this front.

We don’t know when the quiet will return. But we promise you this—until it does, and long after, we will be here. 🩷
